The countdown to the final round is gaining momentum on the 7th and 8th October. Once again the BMWcup shows how exciting motorsport can be and again this year it has not disappointed with different winners through the year and it all comes down to the the last race weekend to find the winner and the overall champion.
The British Touring Cars BTCC visits Btands Hatch for its finale with a shoot out between Colin Turkington Team BMW and Ash Sutton Subaru BMR - whilst the BMWcup drivers head for Silverstone with Kevin Denwood and Russell Dack head for Silverstone.
Kevin takes a lead into the weekend and he knows what he needs to do to wrap up a first championship win in his second year in the BMWcup but he is likely to challenged by current champion Russell.
It will be an exciting time and nail biting occassion for some - so dont miss this one and come and support the drivers and be part of the celebration whoever is victorious.
We need to also remember and thank all the other drivers who have taken part this year and pushed all the drivers and kept them improving through the year, great results this year also from Stephane Jansem with several podiums, also Paul Wood and Simon Calado with some great results and races. There were also impressive results from Gareth Thomas and Karl McMillan through the year and I am sure they will see podiums next year.
Regards 2018 we already have new cars in build and several past drivers looking at a return to challenge for those race wins - and dont forget the 2017 Scholarship winner who is likely to be in the mix - it all looks very exciting going forward. If you ever wanted to go racing on a budget this has to be the series for you, dont miss this fantastic opportunity to enjoy your racing without huge budgets.
Silverstone F1 garages await the cars and drivers I am confident it will be worth the wait.
